Terms of Service
Pinglet · Last updated 28 July 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Starl3xx Labs LLC (“we”, “us”), which operates Pinglet. By using the app you accept them. If you do not, please don’t use Pinglet.
What Pinglet is
Pinglet sends a notification containing no message to a person you have saved. What a ping means is agreed privately between the two of you and is never transmitted — any note you write is a reminder for yourself, stored encrypted on your device.
Your account
- You need a phone number you control, verified by SMS. Standard message rates may apply.
- You must be at least 13, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your phone number secure.
- One person per account. Don’t impersonate anyone.
Using Pinglet decently
A ping is quiet, but it still reaches into someone’s day. Don’t:
- Ping people who don’t want to hear from you, or use pings to harass, intimidate or alarm.
- Add someone’s number to provoke or mislead them.
- Attempt to send pings automatically, in bulk, or faster than the app allows.
- Reverse engineer, disrupt or probe the service, or try to reach data that isn’t yours.
Recipients can silence any contact at any time, and we may suspend accounts used to harass others.
Pinglet Pro
- Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID at the price shown in the app for your region.
- It renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
- Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Any free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial. Free trials are offered once per Apple ID subscription group.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. Refunds are at Apple’s discretion under its own terms — we cannot issue them.
- If a Pro feature is withdrawn, you may cancel; we don’t provide prorated refunds ourselves.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We’ll try to give notice of changes that materially reduce what you paid for. The service is provided as-is: we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Ending it
You can stop using Pinglet at any time, and delete your account and all its data from Settings → Advanced → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or that we must remove for legal reasons.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Pinglet is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for anything arising from a ping that was delayed, silenced or not delivered. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for Pinglet. Apple is a third-party beneficiary and may enforce these terms against you. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any.
General
If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. Failing to enforce a term isn’t a waiver of it. We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it.
